Lindera Farms Spicebush Vinegar

Similar to sherry, French Banyuls vinegar, or a malt vinegar, this Virginia-made vinegar starts with a Sorghum Molasses from the Moyer Family Farm to make a particularly earthy mead. Spicebush berries are hand-foraged, roasted, and dried giving it a very heavy woody characteristic. You'll notice a combination of fruity and earthy elements right away with a prominent acidity, then gradually it'll give way to a toasty, spice-driven finish. Get creative with this vinegar. Try pairing it with bitter greens or lettuces like endive, frisee, or radicchio. It makes a perfect marinade to venison, quail, or any game. And if you want to show off a bit, it gives a ton of depth to a cocktail; particularly those using rum or bourbon. It pairs beautifully with our Mediterranean Blend olive oil or with a buttery Tunisian.
